## About Marc

Professor Marc Cohen (also known as Dr Marc Cohen and Dr Marc) is an Australian medical practitioner, academic, author, and researcher. He holds MBBS (Hons) and BMed Sci (Hons) from Monash University, plus PhDs in Traditional Chinese Medicine and in Electrical and Computer Systems Engineering. In 2002 he became Australia's first Professor of Complementary Medicine at RMIT University, where he served as Foundation Professor until 2019.

As of 2026 he is Adjunct Professor at the National Institute of Complementary Medicine (NICM) at Western Sydney University, Adjunct Professor at the National Centre for Naturopathic Medicine at Southern Cross University, Director of the Extreme Wellness Institute, and a medical practitioner at The Health Lodge Integrative Medicine Centre in Byron Bay. He is Medical Advisor to Cannatrek and Past Medical Director of Peninsula Hot Springs Group.

He is Past President of the Australasian Integrative Medicine Association (AIMA, 2000–2007), a past Board Member of the Global Wellness Summit (2007–2020), and has served on the Editorial Boards of multiple international peer-reviewed journals.
